I’ve been fascinated with magic since I was 8-years-old when my father showed me a pencil disappearing through a box, and I’ve been desperate to perform ever since!
Believe it or not, I am a classically trained actor. I spent 6 years at the Birmingham School of Acting, and at age 18, I decided to leave full time education to pursue a career on the stage. I have been a professional magician for the last 13 years, a fully-paid up member of Equity and have trained with all sorts of high-end magicians everywhere between Las Vegas and London and many, many, many other strange and exotic locations, like the back end of Blackpool.
I adore the feeling that magic and comedy creates. That sense that you can travel back in time to when you were a child, where your imagination was limitless, when the mundane was truly miraculous, when you could look at a cardboard box and see a fairytale castle, or a shiny new spaceship, or a dragon’s dungeon, or anything else. Performing magic, for me, is the closest thing that I come to capturing that incredible sensation that we are truly capable of anything.
My magic is a mixture of visual, cartoony and mental feats that are sure to amuse and amaze in equal amounts. I want to make sure my audiences are not just engaged with every second of my performance and enjoying it, I want them also to come away with a feeling of awe, having hopefully learned something new, and having rediscovered a bit of that childlike wonder that I think we all need right now.
